So very sorry to hear of the passing of Tony Hoagland, who died from pancreatic cancer this week. NY Times article here.
What I love about his work is his insistence on directness and accessibility without giving up anything in the way of depth, an unflinching view of life in all its complexity.
However, on the internet you can still revisit, get a glimpse of what you’ve missed.
So often, aren’t we caught saying, “isn’t it awful, how on the internet…” at the same time we are searching out the link to prove our point? We are caught, netted, if you will, in that internet love-hate cycle.
